How billing works on Wix

Billing through the Wix App Market differs from signing up directly. Here are the four things worth knowing before you start.

Billed through Wix

Payments are handled from your Wix dashboard. You do not need to add a separate credit card to Promolayer.

Billing cycle

Monthly plans are charged every 30 days from the day you install the plan. Annual plans are charged once, up front, for the full year.

Prices are in US dollars

The Wix App Market shows and charges the equivalent amount in your local currency, so what you pay depends on Wix's conversion rate.

Uninstalling does not cancel the plan

Cancel the subscription from Wix's subscription management. After cancelling you keep access until the end of the current billing period, and unused time is not refunded.

Running Promolayer somewhere other than Wix?

If you need to be billed in Japanese yen, or you are installing Promolayer on a site that is not built on Wix, use our direct plans instead.
Free through Enterprise line up with our direct tiers and share the same core popup features, but Promolayer Plus — our direct top tier — cannot be purchased through Wix.

Payments are handled from your Wix dashboard. Monthly plans are charged every 30 days from the day you install the plan, and annual plans are charged once for the full year. You do not need to register a separate credit card with Promolayer.

Wix app billing runs through Wix and is priced in US dollars. The Wix App Market shows and charges the equivalent amount in your local currency, using Wix's conversion rate, so the exact amount can move over time. If you need to be billed in Japanese yen, use our direct plans instead.

Upgrades take effect immediately and you are only charged the prorated difference for the days remaining. Downgrades cannot be made directly — cancel your current plan first, then subscribe to the plan you want.

Uninstalling the app on its own does not cancel the subscription. You need to cancel it from Wix's subscription management.

After cancelling you keep access until the end of the current billing period, but unused time is not refunded.

You are notified by email when you reach 80% and 100% of your limit. Once the limit is exceeded, popups stop being shown. Your plan is never upgraded automatically.

Free through Enterprise share the same plan line-up, impression caps and core popup features as direct billing. On the billing side, what differs is the currency (US dollars versus Japanese yen) and the billing channel (your Wix billing versus billing from us).

Promolayer Plus, our direct top tier, cannot be purchased through Wix. If you need more than Enterprise allows, get in touch and we will work it out with you.
